4 Key Changes the Proposed MORE Act Mean for the Cannabis Industry
On Dec 4, 2020, the House of Representatives passed the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act by a vote of 228-164. If passed by the Senate, this legalization bill would deschedule and decriminalize marijuana on the federal level. The bill is not expected to be introduced to the Senate until the next session of Congress, however, and will have to go through the House once more. Even with Democrats taking control of the Senate, while more likely, the passing of the MORE Act is still not a sure thing.
